The feeder summary meter measures all energy entering this branch. The pole box summary meter measures all energy entering the box. Each consumer module meter measures one consumer. When every meter is live, the sum of the module meters equals the box meter, and the sum of the box meters equals the feeder meter. A gap larger than the meters' measurement tolerance is energy used but not billed.
